Bibles Distributed in San Diego
During the last week in February, Bibles for America (BfA) staff members joined local volunteers in distributing free Bibles at the University of California in San Diego. BfA's newest motor home was parked on the campus and attracted much attention. Over 250 Bibles were distributed on the first day in the rain! In all, 400 copies of the New Testament Recovery Version were given out during the two-day distribution, and many students expressed an interest in on-campus Bible studies.

Spring Motor Home Tour
BfA's first motor home tour of the year began on March 5 in South Carolina. The vehicle and crew members will travel in Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, and West Virginia to distribute free copies of the New Testament Recovery Version and Bible-offer brochures until the end of April. Distribution events are scheduled at nearly 30 venues, including college campuses and retail establishments.
A motor home crew member testified that he has never participated in a tour under as much blessing as this tour. The prayer offered by people all over the country in support of this tour is having a positive impact on this tour.
In one month, over 5,000 Bibles have been distributed at these venues:
University of South Carolina (Columbia)—229 Bibles
South Carolina State University (Orangeburg)—520 Bibles
Augusta State University (Augusta, Georgia)—355 Bibles
University of South Carolina (Aiken)—379 Bibles
University of South Carolina Upstate (Spartanburg)—228 Bibles
Clemson University (Clemson, South Carolina)—223 Bibles
University of North Carolina (Charlotte)—326 Bibles
Winston-Salem State University (Winston-Salem, North Carolina)—662 Bibles
University of North Carolina (Greensboro)—596 Bibles
North Carolina State University (Raleigh)—305 Bibles
East Carolina University (Greenville, North Carolina)—341 Bibles
Fayetteville State University (Fayetteville, North Carolina)—585 Bibles
University of North Carolina (Wilmington)—146 Bibles
Coastal Carolina University (Myrtle Beach, South Carolina)—161 Bibles

At several campuses, staff members who received Bibles brought their co-workers to the distribution tables so they could also get a copy, and students asked for Bible-offer brochures to give to their friends.
At a university in North Carolina, a young man approached the distribution table and said that he felt empty and that he was looking for Christians to meet with. Another student on this campus said that she received a free Bible from BfA last year and has been enjoying reading it.
On three days, the average number of Bibles distributed was one every 23 seconds! Again and again, students were astonished by the explanations in the Recovery Version footnotes and the sound translation of the text.
While having dinner at a barbecue restaurant in Greenville, North Carolina, the traveling crew members passed out 30 Bibles in 15 minutes. There were not enough Bibles in the van for everyone who wanted one, so people waited while one of the volunteers drove to the motor home to get more Bibles.
Seminars for Bible Recipients
BfA volunteers in Nashville, Tennessee, will host a free Bible seminar on April 15 in Smyrna. The informal gathering will cover the topic “The Assurance, Security and Joy of Salvation.”
There will be a free Bible seminar for people in Lake Forest, California, and surrounding areas on April 22 and 29. The seminar will be held in Irvine and will cover the topic "The Bible—the God-breathed Word." Similar seminars will also be held in Tustin, California, later this year.
For more information about these seminars or similar gatherings in your area, please send an e-mail to info@biblesforamerica.org.
LA Times Festival of Books
For the fourth year, volunteers in Los Angeles will sponsor a Bibles for America booth at the LA Times Festival of Books to distribute free copies of the New Testament Recovery Version in English and Spanish. Last year, 780 free Bibles were distributed at the festival. This year’s event will take place on Saturday, April 28, and Sunday, April 29, at the campus of the University of California in Los Angeles.
Please Remember in Prayer
Remember to pray for the Spring Motor Home Tour, which is in progress through April 30. Pray that the Lord would continue to have His hand in every detail of the tour, including the weather, the tour schedule, and the traveling. May His all-sufficient grace sustain the crew members as they supply people with God's Word.
Please pray for the upcoming Bible seminars in Smyrna, Tennessee, and Irvine, California. Ask the Lord to bring many people who are seeking to know the truth in the Bible and desire to fellowship with other readers of the Recovery Version.
