March 2003 Issue

The BfA Update is intended as an encouragement for all those laboring in the distribution of Recovery Version New Testaments throughout America. We hope that, for everyone’s mutual encouragement, you all will send us reports of your experiences.

From the office:
We added a third vehicle to our fleet of motor homes this month with the purchase of a 2000 Winnebago Ultimate Freedom motor home. This model is 40 feet in length (4 feet longer than our first motor home) and has 350 horsepower. It can carry about 1000 more Recovery Versions than our first unit.

This motor home will be based in Tacoma, Washington for Bible distribution throughout the entire western U.S. The smaller motor home, our “Minnie Winnie,” has traveled from Washington state to Sacramento, California, where it will stay for distribution activities in the Bay Area. Our original motor home is touring Florida this month, where area volunteers are visiting college campuses and shopping centers to distribute Bibles.

Bibles for America's third motor home boldly displays our logo and slogan, “Spreading the Interpreted Word of God—A Bible at a Time”	With a display table next to the original Bibles for America motor home, volunteers distributed 62 Bibles at Florida Community College in Jacksonville on February 27.

From our volunteers:
A Bible recipient in Charleston, West Virginia, is spreading the Word through an on-line women’s Bible study that she moderates. They are using the Recovery Version and study guides from biblereading.com to read and study the Gospel of John. The study group, called Virtuous Women (Proverbs 31), includes three ladies in Canada, two in Europe, one in New Zealand, and others scattered across the U.S. Each is paired with a prayer partner with whom they exchange e-mails or chat through Instant Messenger regularly. Group discussions about the Gospel of John are held by e-mail.

When one of the ladies received her New Testament Recovery Version, she excitedly e-mailed the group and said that she was beginning to understand some of the words and meanings in John.

• Please pray for the profitable use of the three Bibles for America motor homes. May many people be blessed to receive the Recovery Version wherever the vehicles travel.

• Please pray that volunteers all over the country will be strengthened and emboldened to share the Recovery Version with others.
