Word of Life Tour
May 10 through June 27, 2006, Bibles for America (BfA) conducted the Word of Life Tour, composed of two simultaneous six-week motor home tours in the midwestern states. Destinations included: Illinois, Wisconsin, Kansas, Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio, Missouri, Minnesota, Indiana, and Ontario, Canada. Unlike previous tours, this one focused mainly on visiting local volunteers and caring for Bible recipients who requested to be contacted for further fellowship. BfA motor homes and crew members-composed of about 70 volunteers from all over the country-distributed over 1,900 Bibles and contacted Bible recipients for face-to-face fellowship. We thank the Lord all His blessings on this tour.

Bibles for Canada Web Site Launched
After years of prayer and preparation, Bibles for Canada (BfC) was inaugurated the first weekend of June, in Kitchener, southwestern Ontario. On June 1, BfC hosted its first distribution event at farmers' market booths in the small towns of Kitchener and Guelph where a total of 476 Bibles were given out.

The BfC Web site is now up and running and can be visited online at www.biblesforcanada.org. At this site, Canadians may order free New Testament Recovery Versions as well as read more about BfC.

Seminars in Houston and Western Kansas
Bibles for America conducted a seminar for local New Testament Recovery Version recipients in Houston at the University of Houston on July 16. The topic of this seminar was "The Lord's Coming." The following month there were also two seminars in western Kansas—one in Garden City (August 5) and another in Dodge City (August 12). Topics covered in the Kansas seminars were: "A Presentation of the Unique Features in the Recovery Version" and "Christ in the New Testament."

Fall Motor Home Tours
We are now in the midst of planning for our fall 2006 activities. In September, our motor homes will travel throughout the country in conjunction with our second annual Let His Word Run nationwide distribution event. We expect to distribute 75,000 Bibles throughout the country from mid-October to November. We hope that through this event, many Bible recipients all over the country will also receive follow-up care in local Bible studies.

Please pray for the Bible recipients contacted on the recent Word of Life Tour, that they would be nourished by the Word of God and continue fellowshipping with Christians in their area.
