BfA Updates

January 2004

The BfA Update is intended as an encouragement for all those laboring in the distribution of Recovery Version New Testaments throughout America. We hope that, for everyone’s mutual encouragement, you all will send us reports of your experiences.

BfA Distribution Center Relocates

BfA's distribution center has a new home! Last month, the distribution center moved into a building in Commerce, California that is almost three times larger than the previous warehouse in Vernon. The 6,000-square-foot facility will serve BfA's packaging and shipping needs.

Worktables for collating and packaging are arranged in a large open space on the ground level. Offices on this level will be converted into a break room and fellowship area for the teams of volunteers who come to prepare and ship orders weekly. A stairway at one wall and a ramp on the opposite side lead to the upper level (dock level), where pallets of Bibles are stored and where the shrink-wrap machine and worktables are located. An enclosed area on the upper dock will function as an office. We thank the Lord for providing this ideal facility for the BfA distribution center.

Recovery Version Holy Bible Available
The Recovery Version Holy Bible (Old Testament and New Testament complete with footnotes, cross-references, and charts and maps) has been published by Living Stream Ministry and will be available for purchase in March through the publisher or through local Christian bookstores. For more information, please contact your local Christian bookstore or Living Stream Ministry at 1-800-549-5164 or books@lsm.org.

Report From Our Volunteers:
Since BfA’s previously scheduled event to distribute 10,000 free Recovery Version New Testaments at Bible Factory Outlet retail stores last November was canceled, volunteers across the country have been distributing the earmarked Bibles at multiple venues. Last month, volunteers in Irving, Texas distributed 200 Bibles at North Lake College, a community college with over 8,000 students. Sixteen area volunteers participated in this two-day distribution. Volunteers in two nearby cities (Dallas and Denton) are planning to help distribute an additional 200 Bibles in the area.

For your prayer:

  • Please pray that the operations at the new BfA distribution center would be seamless and that Bible requesters would continue receiving their free Bibles in a timely way.
  • Please pray that the teams of volunteers helping regularly at the distribution center would be revived and encouraged to continue their service.

May God continue to bless America with the Recovery Version!!
