Wednesday,
November 14, 2001 - We
gathered in New York City for one last time of prayer together before heading
to New Haven, Connecticut, home of Yale University. Before we left, we had
to repair a broken ceiling vent on the motor home--a casualty of an encounter
with a low hanging electrical line. After we replaced it, we bid goodbye
to the dear ones we have been with these past few days, fueled the vehicles,
and left quickly for New Haven.
We met a Yale divinity student who is writing her thesis on the subject of the Pool of Bethesda from John 5. She so appreciated the footnotes in the Recovery Version on that portion of Scripture that she asked us whether she could copy the footnote and reference to use in her thesis, since we had run out of Bibles. Thank the Lord, we were able to find one last Bible to give to her.
We then left Yale and drove to Newington, Connecticut, where we were received by more BfA supporters. Together we had much fellowship about what the Lord is doing these days. We were exhorted by the Lord's word in Matthew 24:45: "Who then is the faithful and prudent slave, whom the master has set over his household to give them food at the proper time?" Praise the Lord! Today is the proper time for the dispensing of the food to the hungry. Receiving
the supply of the Spirit to feed others,
