Here are some typical comments:
When we were ready to leave the campus at the end of the day, several of us gathered around the BfA vans loaded with large quantities of our supplies. We invited students passing by with our bookmarks in their hands to come over and redeem them for a free Bible right away. As some came over to get their Bibles, other students came over to see what was happening, and they also received a free Recovery Version. All in all, we gave 76 New Testaments to students today, the largest number we have distributed on any single day so far. The Lord continues to encourage us by the wonderful response of college students to the Recovery Version. After dinner, some of us drove the motor home to a department store parking lot. We began to pass out brochures and gave people a choice of either waiting for their Bible to come in the mail or going directly to our motor home to receive their complimentary Recovery Version right then. We passed out 38 Recovery Version New Testaments this way.
Day after day and campus after campus, we see how the Lord is moving through
our going out, just as Revelation 6:2 says, "And I saw, and behold,
a white horse, and he who sits on it had a bow; and a crown was given to
him, and he went forth conquering and to conquer." The Recovery Version
footnotes tell us that the gospel has been spreading, typified by the rider
on the white horse. The one who sits on this horse has a bow but no arrow
because "the arrow has already been shot to destroy the enemy, and
the victory has been won for the constituting of the gospel of peace. Now
the fighting is over, and the gospel of peace is being proclaimed in a peaceful
way." We count it a mercy that we can take part in proclaiming the
gospel today.
Tomorrow we leave for Iowa. We pray that the rider of the white horse of the gospel will go forth conquering and to conquer. For
the spreading of the gospel of Christ,
