Tuesday, June 3, 2003—on the way to Branson, Missouri

While we were getting an oil change in Joplin, Missouri, we met a retired military officer in the waiting room. We shared with him about our mission, and he suggested we contact a retired military chaplain to get access to distribute Bibles at Fort Leonard Wood.

We left Joplin at around eleven o’clock and enjoyed reading the Word, fellowshipping, and singing songs all the way to Branson.

In Pierce City we took some pictures of the devastation caused by the last tornado. We met a family of six traveling from North Carolina and gave all of them Recovery Versions. A man who lives nearby also came up to the motor home and received a Bible.

We arrived in Branson and at an observation point of the valley we met some people and gave away seven Bibles. After checking into our motel, the front desk clerk also wanted a Recovery Version. She received it with a sincere “thank you.”
