Wednesday, May 28, 2003—Stillwater, Oklahoma

From one until three o’clock in the afternoon, we distributed 122 Recovery Version New Testaments at a Wal-Mart in Stillwater and gave away six more Bibles at a home Bible meeting this evening.

  • A believer we met was so impressed with what we were doing that she offered to give the motor home crew hospitality in her home for the night. She took a gift offer brochure and gave us her phone number.
  • An elderly man exited the store with a very stern look on his face. As he passed by the display table, he told one of the volunteers to get out of his way or he would run him over with his grocery cart. Another volunteer thought he needed a Bible more than anyone, so he approached him, told him who we were, and that we wanted him to have a free Bible. As our volunteer talked to him, his countenance began to change and he left with a Recovery Version.
