Thursday, May 15, 2003—Tucson, Arizona

We spent most of the day distributing Bibles at Wal-Mart, but we also gave 40 Bibles to a Bibles for America volunteer who has access to Camp Pendleton Marine Base in Southern California and 46 Bibles to volunteers who work at the Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, Arizona.

A Wal-Mart employee said she had planned to take her daughter to a bookstore today to buy a Bible for her. She was so glad that we offered her a free Recovery Version New Testament because she works two jobs. She got a Bible for herself and her daughter.

We were scheduled to be at this Wal-Mart from ten-thirty until two o’clock, so around two o’clock, we started to pack up. A lady stopped and said, “Are you leaving?” She was holding a Bible request card that she had picked up before entering the store. We gave her the 97th Bible. When we were about to board the motor home, another lady walked up to inquire about us. We gave her the 98th Bible and she exchanged phone numbers with an area volunteer so they could have further fellowship. At this point, another woman walked up and asked about the Bible. We gave her the 99th Bible. Praise the Lord!
