We began this morning by gathering in the motor home with nine area volunteers to pray and read Nehemiah 8:8: “And they read in the book, in the law of God, interpreting and giving the sense, so that they understood the reading.” Then we headed out to distribute Bibles at the Wal-Mart store on American Way in Memphis. We praise the Lord that we gave away 366 Bibles today!

• Two employees came to our display table during their break from work because they heard free Bibles were being handed out outside. They were so grateful and said, “This table needs to be crowded with people!” We asked them to tell their co-workers. For the next hour, more employees came to the table in groups of five and seven to request Bibles.
• We met a woman who cooks and distributes food at a nearby park on Saturday morning. After reading a verse and footnote from the Recovery Version, she said, “This is the real food.”
