MESSAGES/PRAYER REQUESTS
Praise the Lord Jesus! I am so happy to see the distribution of Recovery Version Bibles to the military. I have a son, a niece, and a nephew in the military. When my niece went to Iraq, I shared with her some of the biblical history of the area where she would be stationed. She was in awe. She was brought up in a Christian environment and has been saved, yet there is the need to be filled with the Lord. So I am so encouraged that God's Word is reaching them. Recently my brother's good friend returned home from being stationed in Baghdad and we had the opportunity to speak with him. He shared with us his experiences while he was gone. We asked him if he had received a Recovery Version of the New Testament or if he had heard about it being distributed. He said that there had been a lot of Bibles distributed but he wasn't sure which versions. Our conversation about the Bible ended in his receiving of the Lord. We told him that we would give him a gift offer card so that he could order the Recovery Version; he was very open. I have been following your progress across the U.S., and every time I read about what you're doing, I am very encouraged. Praise the Lord for the Word and for the volunteers who have a genuine heart to spread His Word over the whole inhabited earth. I am quite encouraged to hear of this move of the Lord to spread His living Word. Just as the rain and snow comes down and waters the earth, this spreading of the Word will accomplish what He delights in Isaiah 55:10-11. Please pray for the distribution of Recovery Version New Testaments to the U.S. Military, that the Lord will open the doors for us to contact chaplains and obtain access to military installations to distribute Bibles. Tonight we followshipped at the end of our home meeting about the situation in Iraq. I made a brief mention about Operation White Horse and the distribution of Bibles to our troops in the Middle East and in the U.S. We all immediately prayed for this operation and for the distribution of the Recovery Version of the New Testament to the U.S. military.
