About Bibles for America

Request Free Recovery Version Bible
Distribution Programs

Since our early days of hanging brochures on neighborhood doors, Bibles for America has expanded its distribution programs to meet the growing demand for free New Testaments. Volunteers nationwide have distributed brochures with information on how to write, call, or use the Internet to request a free New Testament Recovery Version. Volunteers have also visited college campuses, shopping centers, and other public places with Bibles for America display tables to offer the free Bible on the spot.

We have also developed a mailing program to efficiently mail the free offer brochures to communities where volunteers have not visited. The mailing program allows us to reach even rural America with the free Bible offer.

In April 2001, we acquired a motor home and launched a mobile distribution program. In response to the tragedy of September 11, 2001, the motor home went on a sixty-day, cross-country “Word of Truth USA” tour from October to December 2001. Stopping at college campuses, shopping centers, and other public places along the way, the motor home crew handed out thousands of free Bibles!

In 2002, we conducted a Salt Lake City tour during the 2002 Winter Olympic Games, a two-week tour through the states of Arizona, New Mexico and Texas, a tour in Washington state, a tour across the northern states from Washington to New York, and an eastern states tour from Maine to Florida. The mobile program has proven to be very effective in getting the New Testament Recovery Version directly to our fellow Americans.

Bibles for America now has four motor homes that travel throughout the U.S. to distribute free Bibles.
